THE SKYLAND EQUINE SETTING

While Skyland Equine’s home is in Western North Carolina (near Asheville), we collaborate with, and provide programs across the United States and Canada. 

All local, North Carolina programs are held on the grounds of Skyland Camp for Girls in Clyde, North Carolina, nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains just 25 miles west of Asheville. Since 1917, generations of girls have come to Skyland for summer camp—and left stronger and more confident than they could ever imagine. One aspect of that experience is Skyland’s herd of horses. For more than a century, horses have lived on this property and have offered quiet peace to all who enter. The horses are steadfast in their love, in their gifts, and in their offerings to humans. Whether a six-year-old girl is learning to ride or a 75-year-old woman is seeking her inner truth, the herd is here to support, love, and hold space for whatever is needed.
